The passing of 2 special Lions

Lion Faye Bowers, wife of Past Council Chairman and Past Chairman of the Oregon Lions Sight & Hearing Foundation Don Bowers, passed on Saturday, January 21st. Her memorial will be held at 2 pm on Monday February 6 at the Friendly Street Church of God in Eugene, Oregon. The address is: 2290 Friendly Street, Eugene, OR 97405. Her dedication to service and caring, and sweet personality will serve as an example of kindness to all that knew and loved her. 

Lion Jaclyn Giddings passed away Tuesday, January 24th. Both Jaclyn and her late husband, Lion "Big Bob" Neilson, were quite a force in Lionism as well as many other groups and will be missed. There will be a gathering for Jaclyn at 1PM on Sunday, February 12 at the Vida McKenzie Community Center (Thomson Lane just past Vida). Bring your best memories.

Up Coming Meetings

January 30 - Monday at 6 pm there will be a Region 2 Zone 1-3 Meeting at the Springfield Correctional Center, 230 4th Street. PDG Charlie Tate and PDG Rod Bach will speak on membership and retention. All Lions are welcome to attend, especially Club Presidents, Secretaries and Membership Chairs.

A Guiding Lion Training session is scheduled for February 25 from 8:30 am to Noon in Junction City at the Dari Mart Headquarters Office, 125 E. 6th Avenue.
